FAQ
Scheduling a call: frequently asked questions
What happens on the first call?
The first call is a 30-minute scoping conversation about what you are building, your current systems and your timeline.
From it we recommend an engagement model, a team shape and first milestones, and follow up with a written proposal. There is no obligation.
What should we prepare before the call?
A short description of what you are building, your current stack and team, and your timeline is enough.
If you already know the roles or skills you need, share them. If you do not, we will help you define the team shape on the call.
How soon will we hear back after sending a request?
We reply to the email address you provide to schedule the call.
If you prefer, you can email us directly using the address on this page.
Is there any obligation or cost for the scoping call?
No. The scoping call carries no obligation.
You receive a recommended engagement model, team shape and first milestones, followed by a written proposal if you want one.
Will our information be kept confidential?
Yes. What you share in scoping is used to prepare your proposal.
NDAs are signed before any access to your systems is given, and confidentiality and ownership terms are set out in the agreement before work starts.
How quickly can AIGard engineers start?
Engineers typically start within two to four weeks of the scoping call. The exact date depends on the roles, seniority and number of people required.
We confirm a realistic start date in writing before you commit, and you meet the proposed engineers before work begins.
What is the difference between staff augmentation, dedicated teams and software outsourcing?
The difference is how much of the delivery you manage. With staff augmentation, you direct individual engineers inside your own team. A dedicated team is a self-managing AIGard team working against priorities you set. With software outsourcing, AIGard owns delivery of the whole project against milestones you approve.
All three draw on the same vetted engineers and the same contracts, security practices and ownership terms.
How much does it cost to work with AIGard?
AIGard engineers typically cost 30–50% less than the fully loaded cost of a comparable US-based hire, with no recruiting fees, benefits overhead or insurance costs on your side.
The figure for a specific engagement depends on the model, the roles, the seniority mix and the size of the team. We issue a written proposal after the scoping call, so the commercial terms are agreed before any work starts.
